Antrhopos|Techné is a nonprofit Italian association founded in 2018 by researchers and professors from universities and public research institutes. It is based in Naples, hosted by the Natural and Artificial Cognition Lab of the University of Naples Federico II, to which the founder of the association belong to. Its mission is the application and dissemination of an interdisciplinary approach aimed at improving psychological and socio-relational wellness at different level in society, from personal to educational and professional develoment.
Antrhopos|Techné is fully committed from its foundation to promote core knowledge and competence transfer from academia to citizens’ daily life in order to contribute to building an inclusive and open society through the development of social skills by means of innovative methods centred on technology.
In its activity Antrhopos|Techné exploits the latest results from scientific research in artificial intelligence, cognitive science, psychometrics, developmental and educational psychology and applies it to the ever changing challenges of everyday life.
The founder members of Antrhopos|Techné belongs to the NAC Lab (Natural and Artificial Cognition Laboratory). A research lab of Artificial Intelligence at the university Federico II in Naples, Italy. The NAC investigates, designs and implements artificial intelligence systems and cognitive materials capable to simulate, reproduce, complement and assist cognitive processes of natural systems.
The interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers within the NAC Lab has produced important theoretical and practical results in areas such as technologies for the support of learning and teaching processes, cognitive rehabilitation, soft skills assessment, big data analytics, entertainment, educational robotics, edutainment, new models of fruition of cultural heritage and scientific dissemination.
Our motto highlights the essential intersection between the comprehension and application of modern technologies and the development of a better society. This aim is achieved by means of scientific dissemination and the implementation of training and educational interventions in the field of:
• soft skills training and assessment
• technology enhanced learning
• tangible interfaces
• cognitive assessment and rehabilitation
• educational robotics
The founding members have coordinated and participated in 13 international research projects, so far. Its researchers collaborate with universities, research centres and companies across Europe. Twenty prototypes have been developed over the past decade and more than 250 articles have been published in international journals and conferences.

Antrhopos|Techné is founded with the aim to reach citizens out of academia and to bring research closer to people and society, where real, effective and sustainable solutions are needed.
